This was my first year of doing Week in the Life and I have to say, I really enjoyed the project. I finished on Sunday and I’ve been meaning to write a wrap-up post about my thoughts and opinions on the project, but haven’t gotten around to it until now. So, without further ado, here goes.
I have been an active member of the Project Life and scrapbooking community for almost four years now, so I had heard of Ali’s Week in the Life project before. I never wanted to participate, because it seemed like such a huge undertaking and I felt like my day to day life was too boring. A lot has happened in my life since September 2012 when I discovered Project Life, but my day to day life is not nearly as exciting.
I totally forgot I had to write up a blog post for my last day of this Week in the Life project – Sunday – until about five minutes ago. And I have to say, I was really bummed out, because I would much rather go snuggle up in bed with my husband and watch TV. So I am not going to journal much today, but rather just get the pictures posted. I think I will write a follow up post later this week with my general, overall thoughts about this project, since this is the first year I have done Week in the Life. I loved the project, but the daily blog posts are extremely difficult to do. I may switch it up next year!
I took the least amount of photos today out of all the days this week, but it wasn’t because I was running out of steam. Taking pictures is the easy part. The reason why there is so few is because we slept most of the day away. I took TWO naps at my parents house before we headed home. I am not sure I have ever taken two naps in one day since I was a kid. Gracie’s afternoon nap was over three hours and she usually only sleeps maybe an hour and a half there. So yes, LOTS of sleeping today = not very many pictures.
But we got enough for the project, so here goes nothing: my photos from Sunday!
It’s Saturday! I am really glad, because I am starting to run out of steam for this project. I am really glad I’ve made it this far, so there’s no way I am giving up now, but I am definitely running out of steam. Mostly for the daily blog posts. Taking pictures and writing down our daily schedule is easy as pie, but the blog posts take a long time. I am glad that tomorrow is the last day!
Today was different, because we came up to my parent’s house after Gracie’s nap, and are staying here for the night. Gracie isn’t feeling well, she has a bad cold with a slight fever, so we mostly just stayed in and relaxed.
Here’s our day.
