I totally forgot I had to write up a blog post for my last day of this Week in the Life project – Sunday – until about five minutes ago. And I have to say, I was really bummed out, because I would much rather go snuggle up in bed with my husband and watch TV. So I am not going to journal much today, but rather just get the pictures posted. I think I will write a follow up post later this week with my general, overall thoughts about this project, since this is the first year I have done Week in the Life. I loved the project, but the daily blog posts are extremely difficult to do. I may switch it up next year!
I took the least amount of photos today out of all the days this week, but it wasn’t because I was running out of steam. Taking pictures is the easy part. The reason why there is so few is because we slept most of the day away. I took TWO naps at my parents house before we headed home. I am not sure I have ever taken two naps in one day since I was a kid. Gracie’s afternoon nap was over three hours and she usually only sleeps maybe an hour and a half there. So yes, LOTS of sleeping today = not very many pictures.
But we got enough for the project, so here goes nothing: my photos from Sunday!
My little cutie playing with a “blankie” this morning.
Gracie and Papaw playing this morning.
Gracie has a fascination with playing with cups. She usually likes to play with them in water so she can pour, but today she had cups filled with clothespins at my parents’ house and she thought that was just awesome.
My mom got Gracie a picnic basket for Easter. It is so cute! It has little metal teacups and a teapot, with teeny tiny spoons. They had a tea party picnic a few times today. ADORABLE!
When we got back to our house, I got Gracie some cups to play with. Instead of clothespins, I filled them with these little blocks. It didn’t entertain her very long. She really wanted to dump water from the cats’ water dish to the dog’s water dish and I wouldn’t let her, so the blocks just weren’t cool enough. 😝
Gracie wanted to sit on my lap and watch YouTube Kids. ❤️
My hubby is really big on giving gifts. It’s one of his go-to ways of showing love. Gracie and I are spoiled… but you won’t hear us complaining. He ran to the Wal-Mart alone tonight to get our weekly groceries and I stayed home with Gracie. He came home with groceries… and a tricycle. 😄 Gracie loved it. She also loved the “basket” in the back. She put her Little People animals in there for safe keeping. I sure do love this girl and her daddy. 😍
Leave me a comment with your WITL posts. I’d love to read them! Check out my other Week in the Life posts by clicking here. Later this week I will write up a “My Thoughts on WITL” post and round up everything here. But for now, I am going to take a break from blogging and RELAX. I am so excited! Week in the Life is over for 2016. YAY, I made it!
